The Set skills selection screen
Set Skills are a new feature in Patapon 3 . They are unit-wide skills that can be equipped to provide various bonuses, including damage, resistance, and utility bonuses. Set skills with similar benefits will stack additively, such as Yarida 's Spear Attack 1 and 2 giving a total of 50% boost to spears and pikes. The number of set skills a unit can equip is different depending on their class. All classes gain an additional set skill slot at level 20.
Set skills are unlocked through leveling a class. Once unlocked, the set skill can be equipped regardless of the unit's current class. Unlocking Piekron 's set skills allows his skills to be equipped on any Yaripon -based class. As the Uberhero has access to all classes, they can equip set skills from any class they have unlocked. In addition, the Uberhero can unlock a Peerless skill once they reach level 32 which cannot be unlocked by Kan, Chin, or Ton.

Trivia [ ] In the multiplayer demo, Spear Attack, Bow Attack, Horn Attack, and Club Attack set skills originally gave their full bonus instead of half when using non-matching weapons.
Typically, the more equipment a class uses, the less set skills they can equip:
A class with 4 pieces of equipment (e.g Kibadda ) can have up to 3 set skills.
A class with 3 pieces of equipment (e.g Jamsch ) can have up to 4 set skills. This excludes Oohoroc and Pingrek, which have up to 3 set skills.
A class with 2 pieces of equipment (e.g Yarida ) can have up to 6 set skills. Other classes like Yumiyacha get up to 5 set skills.
Classes can have up to 4-5 set skills of their own. Some classes like Oohoroc get 2 set skills at a time they reach a certain level. Unused Set Skill Menu
There's a different version of the set skill selection menu inside game's code, it can be only unlocked by hacking. It offers more functionality than the final version, letting you select the slot where the set skill is being equipped and the stat change. This could have been a developer tool or an unfinished version of the menu.
