I can explain this, great Kami! This is nothing more than… a stub.

Ratatan is a spiritual successor to the hit PSP rhythm game Patapon developed by Ratata Arts, Tokyo Virtual Theory, and pH Studio.
Development[]
Ratatan was initially unveiled at BitSummit 2023 with the developers promising a new and fresh experience while a slight tease at multiplayer capabilities. A Kickstarter campaign for Ratatan went live on August 1 at 9 AM PT to support the project.
The Kickstarter campaign had reached its required pledge goal in 47 minutes. The pledges had totalled over $1,000,000 on August 3rd, but were dropped to around $600,000 on the same day due to illegitimate backers.
The development teams are partially comprised of returning developers from the Patapon series. Video game composer David Wise and blico (who contributed various voices to the original Patapon series) are confirmed to be part of the development team through pledge goals.
On September 1, the game's Kickstarter campaign finished, managing to raise ¥219,314,335 between 14,598 backers; over 10 times the initial goal, raising enough almost every stretch goal.
Characters[]
Ratatans[]
The Ratatan are groove loving adventurers that use the power of song and magical instruments called "Melodium" to command their armies of Cobun.
Buttonda[]
A Pig-Like Ratatan that's a suppressor that really plants its trotters to conquer the frontline. Great at blasting enemies from the front with its powerful toots, its snoot strength is truly top class. Their weapon of choice is a Sousaphone. Their Rarepons are Buhyokko.
Pyokorappa[]
A Rabbit-Like Ratatan that's an agile gunner always seen wielding its trusty assault trumpet. Capable of using speed and timing to deal nifty and nimble destruction, it really gets a kick out of big rumbly explosions. Their weapon of choice is a Trombone. Their Rarepons are Pyopyo.
Keroronpa[]
(Voiced by Masaya Fukunishi)
A Frog-Like Ratatan that's an agitator born to agitate with its super-duper megaphone. Capable of raising both enemy tempers and party morale, this egomaniac is utterly enamored with the sound of its own raspy voice. Their weapon of choice is a Megaphone. Their Rarepons are Nyontama.
Harigittan[]
(Voiced by Hika Tsukishiro)
A Porcupine-Like Ratatan that Loves protecting its allies with numbingly good riffs. Proficient in both defense and counter offense, this poor little guy is often misunderstood as being thorny and unapproachable. Their weapon of choice is a electric guitar. Their Rarepons are Chiku.
Nyandola[]
(Voiced by Haruna Yuzuki)
A Cat-Like Ratatan that's an assassin that likes to toy with the enemy using fast swipes and hip dance moves. Great at sneaking up on and obliterating targets, it's desperate to nibble on the fish-like Chorus. Their weapon of choice are Claws. Their Rarepons are Fumya.
Mimizukyun[]
(Voiced by Youhei Azakami)
A Bird/Owl-Like Ratatan that's a sniper that targets far off prey with its blinkless stare. Great at concentrating their attacks on enemy weak points, they'll aim for the heart and never let go! Their weapon of choice is a Clarinet. Their Rarepons are Sabara.
Mashuma[]
A Mushroom(ish)-Like Ratatan that manipulates mushrooms with a set of dubious looking bagpipes. Specializes in disorienting the enemy with smoke shrooms. Shy and inconspicuous, but will always get the job done. Their weapon of choice is a Bagpipe. Their Rarepons are Mashu, although having Mashu in its name.
Kamonelo[]
A Platypus-Like Ratatan that Soothes its comrades with its healing horn. Does what it must behind the scenes patching up fellow Ratatans, Cobun and Fortrun, but always looks like it'd rather be doing literally anything else. Their weapon of choice is a Warhorn. There is no direct Rarepon, but the closest association are the Koppen Rarepon as they resemble the Uberhero Pingrek’s healing focus.
Fortrun[]
(Voiced by Tomokazu Sugita)
A sentient, shanty singing ship who follows the Ratatans. Similar to Hatapon in that they don't attack, but follows the army and has their own HP pool. Moving back to Fortrun in levels will restore the Ratatan's HP.
