I think in a new trailer, Guranberuru was wielding axes. Possibly in higher levels?
A good combo would be Grandbull and Guardira. Think about it, one is for only defense and the other is for pure attacking.
Grenburr is a tatepon. My proves:
He has Tatepon Hero spirit.
Guardira is of course tatepon and he has greatSHIELD.
Grenburr has greatSWORD.
Taterazay has shield and sword.
Grenburr is a counterpart of Guardira, another development of tatepon/Taterazay.

I oppose. Tate in Japanese means "shield"
As Grenburr weilds no shield, is can not be classified as a Tatepon. The spirit thing I can't explain, but Tondenga used to have it in the demos.

I know that "tate"means "shield" and I know that Grenburr has no shield.
But I still think that he's Tatepon. Hero Spirit it's only hint. I mean: Taterazay is "good"* both in defense and attack. Guardira is "defense extremum", he has big shield. And Grenburr is "attack extremum, he's result of thinking "What will we get if we make Tatepon better fighter".
Eh... It's hard to explain in English. I usually speak another language.
